Empowering Underprivileged Youth
at Begum Rokeya Shiksha Kendra
We're excited to share updates on our ongoing project Anondomon aimed at empowering 30 underprivileged young adults (grades 8-college) at Begum Rokeya Shiksha Kendra. This 18-month project, launched in January 2025, focuses on strengthening Communicative English, Digital Fluency, confidence, and creative expression.
The "Anondomon" project, aimed at developing communicative English proficiency, digital fluency, and holistic learning for 30 underprivileged young adults at Begum Rokeya Siksha Kendra, Patuli, is conducted by Educhange Foundation. It is funded by donations from Dr. Kaushik Chakrabarty in loving memory of his family members, namely Late Nirendra Nath Chakraborty, Late Hirendranath Chakraborty, Late Shyamal Kumar Chakraborty, and Late Kamal Kumar Chakraborty.
Key Components:
- English & Digital Fluency: 2 sessions/week on functional English, conversation, vocabulary, and spoken fluency using computers and digital platforms
- Holistic Learning Modules:
- Book Reading & Storytelling
- Theatre, Art, & Film Screenings
- Life Skills & Value Education
- Career Orientation & Mentorship
- Youth Leadership & Field Exposure: Guided field work and volunteering opportunities for senior students
The project is running successfully since January 2026 and will continue till June 2027. We're committed to building pathways for leadership, social participation, and future livelihood opportunities for these young adults."
