Dumdum Sarvodaya Balika Vidyapith, a government-aided girls’ school near Diamond Plaza, Jessore Road, Kolkata, is the site of our flagship government school transformation, implemented in collaboration with Concentrix CSR.

This initiative integrates climate-responsive infrastructure with experiential learning and is designed as a scalable, replicable model aligned with Schedule VII priorities in education and sustainability. It demonstrates how infrastructure, pedagogy, and community engagement can work together in a measurable and impactful way.

Following COVID-19, the school witnessed increased dropout rates and widening learning gaps. Since 2022, Educhange Foundation has partnered closely with the school through sustained academic, literacy, and wellbeing interventions.

In collaboration with the Concentrix CSR team, we are now implementing a comprehensive School Building Transformation Project that integrates:

- Climate-responsive and sustainable design
- The Building as Learning Aid (BaLA) framework
- Child-friendly, inclusive learning spaces

Today, the school campus functions as a hands-on learning environment where children engage daily with ideas of sustainability, climate responsibility, and collective care — transforming not just the building, but the culture of learning itself.
