Training Session at Mukti Foundation (2026)

Educhange Foundation recently conducted a Capacity Building Training Session at Mukti Rehabilitation Centre, focused on strengthening teaching practices for educators working with children from diverse and underserved backgrounds. The session was designed in response to key needs identified by the Mukti team, including addressing multigrade classrooms with significant learning gaps, identifying effective learning materials, strengthening foundational learning, and nurturing positive behaviour and conduct among young learners.

Objectives of the Training

The training aimed to equip participants with practical tools and approaches to support:

  • Holistic development of young learners

  • Use of interactive and engaging teaching methodologies

  • Learning beyond textbooks through music, games, and creative activities

Key Focus Areas

A major highlight of the session was introducing storytelling as a powerful pedagogical tool for communication, relationship-building, and concept delivery. Participants explored how stories can be used to connect with children emotionally while also improving comprehension and engagement.

In addition, the training emphasized:

  • Learning through play and games

  • Use of music and creative expression in classrooms

  • Building strong communication and listening skills

  • Creating a safe, trust-based learning environment

Participant Learnings & Reflections

  • Feedback from participants reflected strong engagement and practical takeaways:

  • Many highlighted storytelling, gaming methods, and singing as key techniques they learned

  • Several participants emphasized the importance of teamwork, communication, and being good listeners

  • Educators noted the value of interactive and visual learning methods in improving student engagement

  • Some reflections also focused on building trust, confidence, and positive relationships with children

One participant shared that the session helped them understand “different methods of effective teaching and how to make learning more interesting for students,” while another described it as a “mind freshener” that would directly support their work with children.

Impact & Response

The response to the training was overwhelmingly positive, with 100% of participants expressing interest in attending similar sessions in the future. They appreciated the practical, activity-based approach and its relevance to their everyday teaching challenges.

This training marks another step in Educhange Foundation’s commitment to building educator capacity and creating engaging, inclusive learning environments for children.
